To register for YIG, you will need:
- Credit Card – You will need to pay a deposit via credit card. Please contact your Delegation Director if you need an accommodation.
- Delegation Name – The name of the school, YMCA, or community organization where your student participates in YIG.
- Program Area Preferences – Students should select their top three program area choices. Program area assignments are determined based on multiple factors. Delegates should not assume their program area until it has been confirmed in the registration platform.
- 8th Grade Students: Only select the Leadership Corps option
- Elected and Appointed Officials: Only select the Elected/Appointed Official option
-
Student's Email Address – The student's email address must be unique and different from their caregiver's email address or any other student's email address otherwise their registration WILL NOT WORK.
Note: School email addresses are often blocked in our system so personal emails are preferred. The YMCA Center for Youth Voice only communicates with students about YIG related matters. Student email addresses are never shared outside of the YMCA.
After completing your registration, your student should receive an e-mail with their account information which will confirm their registration for Youth in Government 2025. If they do not receive an email from the registration platform, please let us know by sending an email to youthvoice@ymcanorth.org.
