St. Croix Central Summer Programming
The YMCA will be offering programming after summer school at St. Croix Central Middle School. Registration information must be filled out prior to attending. Our curriculum will be focused on Y-Start, a program that gives an introduction into YMCA teen programming. This includes healthy living, leadership, and team-building activities. Thank you for a great 2024 summer!
Youth in Government
Get engaged with the important issues that face the state, nation and world. Learn how government works in order to make change happen. Speak your truth and listen with respect while others share theirs. Students gather at the Minnesota State Capitol to learn the "ins-and-outs" of government, and have the chance to participate in making bills, challenging court cases, lobbying, and more! Open to those in grades 8-12.
Model United Nations
For three days every spring, students take part in an experiential learning process as Ambassadors and UN Officials in simulated international diplomacy. Students in grades 7-12 can choose to serve in the General Assembly, International Court of Justice, Economic and Social Council, Security Council, Human Rights Council, or the Media. Model UN offers students the chance to experience the richness of different cultures around the world, develop empathy, and hone their critical thinking skills while engaging with a wide variety of perspectives and global issues. Interested in learning more? Check out the Model United Nations website. Join the Western Wisconsin Delegation!
