Become a Nurse Volunteer for Camp St. Croix

Help play a vital role in the safety and health of participants at Camp St. Croix this summer.

A typical session as a Health Pro in the Health office at Camp St. Croix, is a 5-day commitment (Sunday – Thursday). We ask that Health Pros arrive by 8:30am on the first day of the session. Typically, this will be a Sunday. (You are welcome to arrive on Saturday evening before your session begins). The Health Pro basic responsibilities will be in camper medication collection, handling, and distribution. Basic First Aid, as well as general support of the Health Office Coordinator and general support for the health and wellbeing of campers and staff.

The accommodation is in Fotsch’s, which is also our Health Office building. Fotsch’s has 3 bedrooms in the summer configuration. One is dedicated for campers to have a quite place to lay down if needed. Depending on the other volunteers in your session, the other two bedrooms are typically for our Health Pros. There are two bathrooms, each with a shower located in Fotsch’s. Portable air conditioners are in the bedrooms and in the common area.
